Blackness Boat Club
Blackness Boat Club on the shore of the River Forth is a small friendly club with around 70 members of which 65% are boat owners.
Visitors to the village are welcome in the club house and sailing visitors are also welcome approximately 2½ hours either side of high tide.
Come along to the clubhouse if you're in the area. Our new coffee machine will provide you with a hot drink and our friendly club members will provide the chat to go along with it!
Our members have the use of a slip which is suitable for launching trailer boats as well as tenders.
There is also a second slip suitable for launching tenders on the West side of the club house.
Visitor’s boats are also welcome; you will be made most welcome in our licenced club house, where alcoholic drinks as well as hot beverages are available
Members can also use the club pier, for loading supplies, crew or to sit along side for a tide or two if you need to check below the water line.
Member’s boats are moored on swinging moorings in our well sheltered bay in the shadow of the historic Blackness castle
The bay dries out, but it still offers a sailing window of
2 ½ to 3 hours either side of high tide
We have a hard standing area for winter storage
Metered electricity and water is available in the hard standing area
