Environmental Projects
The club has an ongoing commitment to reducing it's carbon foot print. Several initiatives have already been put in place. We also have other projects in mind, once the funds are available.
Projects completed are shown below.
The club reduced the security lighting down from 500 watt to 150 watt bulbs, we also replaced all internal light bulbs to low energy bulbs
To ensure the members did not run away with the amount of electricity that they use, a meter was installed. This has proved to be very successful.
The external water hose and wellie wash had a timer fitted to reduce water usage
Bottle and Can recycling bins have been in place for some time, paper and card board is also recycled
Water reductions system has been fitted to the men’s urinal;
it has reduced water usage greatly.
Double Glazing window replacment and insulation of the roof and walls are future plans, once funds allow
